Many window leading into the temples of Kathmandu are ornately carved and heavily crafted. These windows are called kumari window. Name after living goddess of Nepal. Note the well structured pillars supporting the windows are carved in simple traditional style. The base is decorated with flowers, dragon, surpent. The top most part of the window illustrates a beautiful, continuous pattern of lotus petals. The window panes are covered with flower patches and kalash sculpted on it.
